Elegant, glamorous and gracefully cut are keywords when speaking of Valentino's work. This season the emphasis was on prints--floral appliqu¨¦s, ivory polka dots on red crepe and lily of the valley embroideries. There were also some strong, less decorated pieces, like the stunning cashmere coat that opened the show, evocative of Jackie O. Also striking were his accessories: rectangular bags with cascades of beads and spindly high heels decorated with delicate, dainty rosebuds and glittering flowers.
